1. Decide what should happen after the scan
Most people want a website. That is a URL QR code. If guests should join Wi-Fi, use the Wi-Fi QR code generator. If they should save your phone number, use a vCard QR code. Pick the type first so the form matches the job.
2. Type the content
Paste a full https link. Add the country code on phone numbers. For Wi-Fi, copy the SSID exactly, including spaces. The preview on the right is the file you will download - if it looks empty, you have not entered enough yet.
3. Style only as much as print needs
Black on white still wins on glass doors at noon. A logo is fine if it stays small and does not cover the three corner squares. Light gray on white is how codes fail on cheap flyers.
4. Download the right file
PNG for email, Instagram, and most print shops. SVG if a designer will place it on a large banner. Then scan it with a phone that is not yours. A QR code maker that never leaves your monitor is how you print 500 dead stickers.
5. Reprint vs edit later
A static code stores the URL in the pattern. If the page moves, the square is wrong. Sign up free - no credit card - and turn on tracking. We encode a short link you can change from your account. The printed QR code maker output stays the same.
That is the whole method. Open the QR code maker, or read the feature list if you need bulk files or a scanner to proof a screenshot.
